Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) and Ultrafiltration-Reverse Osmosis (UF-RO) systems deployed at the Amrun-Rio Tinto mining project in Queensland, Australia
Via 100% owned subsidiary Akwa-Worx Pty Ltd, De.mem group designed and built a water treatment plant and sewage treatment plant deployed at the Amrun mining project by Rio Tinto in between Weipa and Amrukun, Queensland, Australia.
The processes and technologies deployed include two Submerged Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) plus two Ultrafiltration (UF)-Reverse Osmosis (RO) sewage and water treatment plants.
The systems were provided to the customer containerized, for easy transport to and deployment at the location.
The project volume was approx. 2.2 million A$. Commissioning took place in 2016/17. Maintenance & operations have been contracted to De.mem group’s Akwa Facility Maintenance Pty Ltd.
